Meet Greg

Inspired by his grandmother’s cooking and the comfort of a bustling family kitchen, Greg discovered early that food was never just fuel, it was connection.

That passion led him to study culinary arts at George Brown College, launching a career that would take him from large-scale events like the 2010 Winter Olympics to renowned culinary destinations including Glen Abbey Golf Club and Langdon Hall.

While the intensity and accolades of restaurant kitchens sharpened his skills, Greg felt a calling toward something more personal, a way to bring elevated food experiences into everyday life.

That calling led him into entrepreneurship, where he now works as a private chef, creating thoughtful, flavour-driven meals, often paired with curated Scotch selections.

Scotch became an unexpected passion that naturally aligned with his love of fine dining and flavour. Years of experimenting with pairings, refining combinations, and deepening his appreciation for Scotch ultimately led to the creation of this blog.

His travels, including time spent in Scotland, Europe, and the Caribbean, continue to inspire curiosity, creativity, and a deeper connection to food culture.

When he’s not in the kitchen, Greg is travelling, discovering new flavours, and enjoying downtime with his gorgeous fiancée, his trusted taste-tester and one of his biggest supporters.

We had an amazing dinner in a small private place. Chef Greg Rennet made a magic.
Fancy multi-course meal, interactive experience, and special stories.
Focused on ingredient’s quality and parade of flavor and textures.
Perfectly cooked steak paired with rich foie gras, delicious soft gnocchi… mmm…
I am looking forward to a new occasion! 😊
Thank you, Chef!

We had the most incredible dining experience with Chef Greg Renet at my home! 🍽️✨ From the five-course meal to the finesse in every ingredient, every detail was flawless. His explanations of each dish made the experience even more special, and every guest was wowed by his skill.

The gnocchi “pillows of happiness,” as he called them was an absolute standout! So airy, so fluffy, and made with love using local, top-quality ingredients.

As if that weren’t enough, he even brought a loot pack for everyone, filled with local ingredients a true farm-to-table experience we’ll never forget. 🥂
